This is Nevenka & Sash’s amazing Wollongong Wedding.
There’s something really special about a Serbian wedding. I really enjoy shooting these because they have so much detail (yes, this is going to be a big blog post!)
The days festivities start from very early in the morning and go all night. It amazes me that the energy levels pretty much remain the same throughout day by all involved! ( I must admit, I relied on a Red Bull in the afternoon!) More than 320 people celebrated and danced the night away!
One of my favourite things was the amazing hand made couture crown by Viktora Novak that Nev wore, which took 8 months to make! Complemented by Michelle’s incredible makeup skills, truly made for some stunning bridal portraits!
I met Sash and Nev well over a year ago and cant believe how fast their day approached! We went out a few weeks before the wedding and did an awesome preshoot in these incredible fields near Roberston- and it was then that I knew they had something special between them. The way they look at each other, their body language really translates well on camera.
On the wedding day, having such beautiful field shots from the preshoot, Sash and Nev opted for a more grungy style for the wedding, and so we headed to the Port Kembla Steelworks for a real urban feel which was awesome for something a little different!
